The Return of Zack Fair
Chapter 1

A few months have passed now, since Cloud faced Sephiroth again and I must say that he changed, he really did. He finally seems to have settled with his past. Today he took Marlene and Denzel for a day out. He finally opens up to us.
Tifa lowered her pencil when she heard the phone. She put her diary away in a drawer and went away to answer the phone.
‘Tifa here’
‘Good afternoon Miss Lockheart’ a familiar voice said. Tifa frowned slightly, she couldn’t completely recognize the stranger.
‘Who am I speaking with?’
‘It’s Shinra, Rufus Shinra’ The president himself! Not one of the turks, like last time.
‘What do you want’ Tifa’s voice sounded a bit less friendly than she intended.
‘I need to speak to Cloud’
‘He’s not here’ Tifa said quickly.
‘Can you ask him to come to the old Shinra building? As soon as possible, we have…recovered something that might be interesting for him’
‘What do you want from him?!’ Tifa noticed she was starting to get nervous.
‘I can only tell that to Cloud, he must come here. As soon as possible’.
‘So you can use him for your own business again? He’s been through enough already!’
‘Just ask him to come, or at least let him call me, he’ll be interested. That’s for sure’.
‘We’ll see’ Tifa said as she hung up. She didn’t know what to do. What would happen if Cloud got dragged along with his past again? Everything was finally okay now. But what would happen if she wouldn’t tell him and it was something important? Doubtfully she picked up the phone again.
‘Cloud here’ Tifa could hear Denzel and Marlene laugh at the background.
‘It’s me’ Tifa said softly, knowing Cloud would recognize her voice.
‘Something wrong? You sound a bit worried’
Tifa shook her head, but realized a few moments later Cloud couldn’t see it.
‘Shinra called’.
‘Shinra?’ Now Cloud sounded worried too. ‘What did he say?’
‘He wanted to talk to you’ Tifa sighed.
‘Why?’ Cloud sounded slightly angry, Marlene and Denzel fell silent.
‘He didn’t want to tell me’
‘I’ll go see him, and tell him I don’t want to get involved in Shinra business anymore!’
‘Cloud, be careful, don’t let him try to get you into one of his projects’
‘If they’re planning on something that could be dangerous for others I have to stop them’
‘Cloud please…’
‘I changed Tifa, I can handle this’
A beeping sound let Tifa know the connection was lost.
With a sigh Tifa put down the phone again, ‘And I don’t want you to go back to who you were’ she whispered softly.

Story is set after Advent Children, forget about Dirge of Cerberus

any grammar/spelling mistakes...eternal shame on me >.< any mistakes with an eye on Final Fantasy itself...even longer shame on me xD i only played crisis core and watched Advent children, i know the general story of the original FF VII but no details =S
